About Me

Aimee Summers, Consultant Conveyancer at JB Property Law

Hi, I'm Aimee!

If you'd told me years ago that I'd end up in conveyancing, I probably wouldn't have believed you. I actually fell into the profession by accident, starting out as a legal secretary before gradually working my way up. Along the way I discovered a real passion for property law, and I've never looked back.

What I love most about conveyancing is that no two transactions are ever the same. Every file brings a new challenge, whether it's untangling a complex legal issue, navigating an unusual title, or finding a solution where one didn't seem possible.

There's something incredibly rewarding about getting my teeth stuck into a problem and, after all the hard work, being able to make that phone call telling a client they can finally collect the keys to their new home.

Over the years I've worked on everything from straightforward sales and purchases to the more weird and wonderful transactions that keep the job interesting. Auction matters are a particular favourite of mine because they often require quick thinking, careful preparation and a proactive approach.

I chose to become self-employed because I wanted to do things a little differently. By keeping my caseload manageable, I can give every client the time, attention and communication they deserve, rather than treating people as just another file number. It also gives me the flexibility to work around my clients' needs... although in reality, that usually just means I end up working all the hours!

The three things I pride myself on most are communication, attention to detail and honesty. Buying or selling a home can be one of the biggest and most stressful events in someone's life, and I believe you deserve a conveyancer who keeps you informed, explains things clearly and is always upfront with you. Every transaction has a story and, more importantly, a person behind it. To me, they are never "just" transactions - they're people's homes, futures and lives.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me with my nose in a good book! I'm fascinated by the universe and could happily lose hours watching documentaries or learning something new. My desk is rarely without a coffee, although I'm always partial to a good cup of tea every now and then.

At the heart of everything I do is one simple goal: I want every client to feel like they matter, and that their transaction is important to me—because it genuinely is. If I can make what is often a stressful process feel a little smoother, a little clearer and a little less overwhelming, then I've done my job.
